WASD Converters [Low Complexity & Fast]
by Kein Anderer
These are WASD converters that only need 1 bearing and 1 body each to work. These are also significantly more responsive than your traditional units and can still cope with low fps and low physics just fine, especially if you compare the WS converter to older designs. There are 2 versions, which just swap the parent and child body order depending on your preference. Keep in mind that the steering bearings and controllers are sped up, which requires blueprint editing. The AD converter would just be slower, where the WS converter wouldnt function at all (why is explained below). How The WS Converter Works: It utilizes the tickrate of the game to make the rotating bodies effectively stay in 1 position (specifically doing 90°/tick). The slight offset to move it over the bits the sensors detect is from it accelerating to that speed, which is the whole reason why it can even function as a WS converter. Don't worry, it should all be plug and play to set up for you. Tomatsu (someone you may have heard of) has also made his own more compact design, tho I didnt really test these much (I also dont really need to save space that badly usually). I will include links of them here anyway. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3438628805 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3438638067
