Fully Functional Tower Crane [Vanilla/No Mods]
by Serg1us
A fully functional tower crane, built entirely without any mods. Features Trolley - moves forward and backward Hook - raises and lowers to any height Rotation - full 360° left/right turning Rail Drive - moves along rails for repositioning (if set up on rails) Controls A/D - Turn the crane left/right W/S - The trolley forward/back 1 - Hook down by 1 unit 2 - Hook up by 1 unit 3 - Hook down 15 units 4 - Hook up 15 units 5 - Drive the crane forward 6 - Drive the crane backward 7 - Horn 8 - Lights on/off Special Considerations For best performance, make sure the crane stands on its wheels along two rails that are 1 unit wide, at least 2 units tall, and spaced 21 units apart. Using Frame Beams for the rails surfaces is highly recommended - they help prevent physics glitches. The gate logics used in the crane are stable and don’t require resetting. They won’t enter a pulsing state, but avoid excessive spamming to ensure smooth operation. The hook can extend below ground level of the crane, which may cause glitches if it touches the ground. When the trolley is positioned too close to the tower, it can cause lags. To prevent physical glitches, move the trolley forward before turning left or right, or before driving the crane along the rails. The crane is fully modular - with some basic building knowledge you can easily add and remove sections. All sections are connected using Corner Braces, so they can be separated simply by removing those braces. Most sections are aligned with wedges that act as keys, ensuring correct orientation. Sections of the jib have Nut blocks on the rail path for the trolley. These act as separators, allowing the trolley to glide smoothly over them. Also if the pipes connected to the trolley ever drop below the rail level, you can stretch them back by moving the trolley all the way to the tip of the jib — the pipes will pass through the Nut blocks without needing to rebuild or place the crane on the lift.
