FMK 008

The FMK 008 is MÁV KFV's newest measurement vehicle, designed for rail diagnostics. It's capable of accomodating the 10 person crew. This capability also contributes to the completion of jobs outside of Hungary (it has even been to Switzerland) The diagnostics car can also function alone. (it was towed by other locomotives before the completion of the power car) The power car also has cabs on both ends, allowing it to travel alone. The diagnostics unit utilizes ultrasonic and Eddy current sensors to measure the internal structure of the rails. There are also cameras in place overseeing the switches, and other cameras monitoring the diagnostics bogie. [hr[/hr Controls 1/2 - Throttle 3/4 - Reverser 5 - Horn 6 - Lights 7 - Shunting lights (overrides button 6) [hr[/hr USER MANUAL This train runs on 5u track! I recommend to use Simple 7 physics, though if you want to murder your FPS or you're using the units alone, you can use higher physics levels. (I can manage advanced physics with the two units split) Getting inside There are two working doors on the exterior of the train. (1 per side) alternatively you can use the cab windows or the gangway doors Switch panels Power car front cab Power car rear cab Diagnostics car Numbers meaning 1 - Enables the lights 2 - End of train red lights (overrides 1 on the power car) Driving Before you start driving from the rear cab of the power car, close the door, fold down the panel and enable the lights! Driving is pretty simple, there are 3 levels of throttle, though the only visual indication of it is the thrusters' glow. Disclaimer: when driving with the power car pushing and on max throttle, the coupling can be quite janky on physics 7. Diagnostics bogie The diagnostics bogie can be controlled from the seat in the diagnostics room It's controls are: 1/2 - Lights illuminating the bogie 3 - Lower the bogie Only raise/lower the bogie on straight track! The diagnostics bogie doesn't work that good on switches because of the really sharp curve. [hr[/hr Good luck and have fun!
