Modular Accumulators
by RX-07
Modular Accumulators aims to make batteries a renewable resource in a unique way. Instead of using a battery container, you can use modular rechargeable accumulators to store and provide power to anything that requires batteries (as long as it only takes one battery at a time). Five accumulators can store the same amount of power as one battery container while using less space (incredible, right?). They can also be connected in almost any way and still work, allowing high flexibility for their shape (see Picture 5 or the GIF at the end). This mod also allows you to transmit battery charge between separate creations without welding them together. Currently, there are three different ways to charge the accumulators. 1. Gas Charge Generators 2. Solar Panels 3. Battery Containers Gas charge generators burn fuel to generate battery charge. By default, it uses two gas to generate one battery charge. However, the generator can work more efficiently or faster by attaching upgrade modules to it. Solar panels generate one battery charge every two minutes during the day. They only work on static creations. What's in the mod exactly? Accumulator: Stores 20 batteries of energy. - Discharger: Gets energy out of accumulators - Recharger: Stores energy in the accumulators - Gas Charge Generator (+2 Upgrade Modules): Turns gas into battery charge - Solar Panel: Passively produces energy during the day. This mod is compatible with all mods that have battery-consuming parts. Tested: - Fant Mod: compatible (minus Teleporter). This is the first mod I made for Scrap Mechanic.
