Workshop V4
by Kein Anderer
FULLY VANILLA A big remaster of a workshop I made a while back, fixing multiple issues I and others had with it, aswell as just generally improving it. About The Workshop: Its quite big and offers 2 floors to do stuff in with an elevator to connect the two. The bottom floor is the main building area with the second floor having a walkway surrounding it on higher ground, aswell as having its own engine build and test zone and a break/hangout zone. Despite its size, it has been optimised heavily to affect your fps as little as possible, even including lighting options. It also fully functions at any physics level, including physics 1. This build was intended to be a practical workshop and these features help a lot with that. It also includes quite a few details, some art and my fair share of references. There is even a hidden duck in here somewhere. Controls: The black buttons near the door open and close it, the ones near the elevator call and move it. All the white buttons control the lighting and depending on how you press it, you can control each floor seperately. Quick pushes control the current floor and longer pushes control the counterpart. The red switches on the elevator shaft allow you to turn the corresponding sections of the lighting off, which can help a lot with lag for potatoe users. Upgrades Over The Previous Version: The first thing you will notice is that its quite a bit larger, mainly since my previous one felt a bit cramped to most people. This should be ~30% bigger in volume with a ~100% height increase with its central opening, so size should no longer be a problem. It has also been designed for low physics this time around, even including the evelator and even going as low as physics 1. Its even designed to stay fairly quiet at low phyiscs, for increased comfort of course. Another big part is having far more advanced lighting controls to optimise fps, which is especially important for a build this size. This has been done with the more variable lighting controls. Last bit was changing the layout to ditch the fairly pointless independent second floor and have the areas in it be more designated to their functions. The design has also been improved on top of that with stuff like the crane and more machines.
