HALF-LIFE 1 Hide and Seek Map: Anomalous Materials Inspiration: Borrowing from the enigmatic world of Half-Life, Anomalous Materials immerses players in a thrilling hide and seek experience. Corridors with neat lighting and distant hums of machinery reverberating throughout the facility. Detailed rooms that are faithful to the source material, with a few minor additions. Hiding Spots: The heart of the map lies in its intricate hiding spots. Players must uncover hidden buttons and switches cleverly concealed in tiny crevices, gaps, chairs and even the ceilings. Some spots seamlessly blend with the environment, demanding keen observation. Occasionally a well aimed hammer strike reveals these elusive nooks. Alternate Win Condition: While hide and seek remains the primary goal, an intriguing twist awaits. Headcrabs (Glowbugs) have infested the facility. They must be sought out and eradicated Once killed, players should venture to the test chamber and activate the anti-mass spectrometer to unlock a secret exit. Recommendations: Seekers should remain on the tram or walkway. Hiders should enter the facility through the first security door. When everyone is in position, hiders activate the large switch to begin. After two minutes, the doors will open and seekers can begin their hunt. Feel free to play in your own style, but we recommend regular hints to keep the flow going. Warnings: DO NOT press the large switch underneath the tram unless you wish to end the challenge early.
