Rock Crawling Challenge 6 (Single player, and Multiplayer for parties of 2 and 3)
by Prestificate
Build a rock crawling vehicle using the vast amount of parts at your disposal or use the demonstration vehicle right outside the shop. Your goal is to reach the end of the trail marked by arrow signs and 3 colored finish spots. This is the 6th challenge of the rock crawling series. Important: The chests in the shop have items beside them that are examples of what is in them. This will hopefully help you find what you need quicker. This map is a lot longer than the previous maps, however it only comes with one course. Careful when driving over old wooden bridges. The trail is marked by arrow signs that are painted grey. Vehicle Specifications: The demonstration vehicle is 13 blocks wide. I recommend going with this width, though you can build smaller or larger as you wish. I don't recommend going wider than 17 blocks. Each player is given 4 wheels to build with (read through multiplayer to find out how to get 4 or 8 more wheels for your friends). Multiplayer: This map like the others does allow for multiplayer with the amount of resources for use (3 players max). To activate the multiplayer mode, simply flip the switch in the shop with the corresponding number to the player party count. For 2 players, hit the "2 player" switch. For 3, hit the "3 player" switch. By default, the map is set to single player. Hitting either switch will raise the amount of win condition spots at the end, meaning more vehicles will have to get through to the end in order to win the challenge. In addition, when you hit the switch you will get 4 more large wheels for the 2 player and 8 more with the 3 player. These large wheels are found in the challenge chest that lowers from the ceiling of the shop. Side Stuff/Not Too Important: I decided to give each player only 4 large wheels in order to make the challenge more of a challenge. It is difficult balancing these rock crawling maps for players with 4 wheel systems like on actual rock crawlers vs. tank drive systems with more than 4 wheels. Of course, it is up to the player to decide on how they want to play but I wanted to make this map a bit more difficult, thus the wheel limit. Otherwise, let me know what you think of the map! Have Fun!
